Can you name the ingredients of your favorite beer? There’s water, grain, yeast hops and…. trees!?

In honor of OktoberForest – a month-long celebration of the connections between healthy forests, clean water and quality beer – The Nature Conservancy is hosting a TED-style talk here at the Birdhouse to talk about the role local trees play in the flavor of your favorite brew.

Speakers include Shawn Johnson, co-owner of Birds Fly South; Kristen Austin Gunter, Upstate Conservation Director for The Nature Conservancy in South Carolina; and others to be announced.
