Berliner Bar Weekend
Champagne anyone?
Rumor has it that in 1809, Napoleon and his armies called this tart, German wheat beer the Champagne of the North. We share his enthusiasm and believe our flockers will appreciate the sharp sour funk of the classic Berliner Weisse. The style is acidic, effervescent, and sessionable, with refreshing notes of fresh lemon juice and hay. It is among the most refreshing beverages, beer or otherwise, for hot summer days.
Celebrate the end of summer with a traditional Berliner Bar.
In Berlin, birthplace of this Champagne of the North, the Berliner Weisse is traditionally served with a shot of syrup to soften the sour. Although we love the style all on its own, we want to provide an authentic experience to honor the history of this unique brew. Our bar will feature house made syrups from Stephen, our super creative bartender.
Special Berliner Bar service times: Thursday and Friday from 5-9pm and Saturday from 2-9pm.
*Regular taproom hours still apply for general service.
