CURRENT OPENING: SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNITY MANAGER

We are looking for a qualified Social Media & Community Manager to join our team. If you are a tech-savvy, professional, and experienced in social media, we’d love to meet you!

Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community. Responsibilities

  • Create and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends & audience preferences
  • Design & implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Monitor SEO & web traffic metrics
  • Oversee social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, others as needed)
  • Suggest & implement new features for brand development promotions & competitions
  • Provide engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts
  • Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner
  • Communicate to Operations Manager online reviews
  • Play a part in an events team to build community and boost brand awareness (festivals and taproom events)
  • Coordinate with Sales/Marketing, Taproom Manager teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Member of our creative team developing engaging marketing endeavors (assets, events, merchandise, etc.)
  • Liaise with Development and Sales departments to stay updated on new products and features
  • Build & grow relationships with local community
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends
  • Provide Social/Communication plan to Operations Manager weekly

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a social media manager
  • Proven work experience as a community manager
  • Proven work experience with photography and software
  • Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Hands on experience with social media management for brands
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Availability for some Nights/Weekends/Events as needed

General

  •          Update Food Truck Google calendar
  •          Manage Food Truck website schedule

Marketing & Advertising

  •          Social Media: Create/curate daily Social media content
  •          Facebook, Instagram (posts & stories), Twitter, Google My Business, Untappd
  •          Respond to Social media comments/inquiries
  •          Manage all media connectivity
  •          Stay up-to-date with platform trends
  •          Promote events/releases
  •          Run Social ads and boost events
  •          Maintain tonality and brand with quality/unique/trendy content
  •          Experienced in photography and photo editing for Social
  •          Create graphics for promotions and events

Website

  •          Help manage and update content and branding
  •          Add photos for pages and beers as needed
  •          Blogs (content & video)
  •          Provide input for brand promotion through events, merchandise items, art direction
  •          Content updates as needed
  •          Add taproom events to site
  •          Respond to website form inquiries and requests

Events

  •          Create events and optimize existing ones
  •          Assist in create theme/branding for all events
  •          Develop graphics and promotional materials
  •          Run ads/boosted posts
  •          Event planning, setup, coordination, staffing needs, execution, and aftermath
  •          Plan and communicate with vendors
  •          Publish event on website and Social platforms
  •          Update staff on upcoming events to help promote them inside the taproom
  •          Ensure all details are outlined, vendors are booked and have pertinent info, staffing is accurate, and promotion needs are met for the breweries main annual events
  •          Coordinate and plan with managers for special brews and/or small batches needed for special events

Google My Business

  •          Update business hours, post promotions/photos/videos
  •          Publish events week-of
  •          Respond to user reviews
  •          Work to increase Google reviews

Video

  •          Posts videos on Social media channels and website as a blog

Graphics

  •          Using Canva, create graphics for all events and promotions (sized for Facebook, Instagram)
  •          Design and print posters for larger events and promotions as needed
  •          Coordinate graphics needs with freelance designers for can labels, crowler labels, merchandise etc.
  •          Manage art/label schedule as it relates to the production schedule/release schedule.
  •          Coordinate can release photos
  •          Asses visual needs of the brewery and schedule photoshoots as needed for more assets

Festivals

  •          Help manage and coordinate festivals

Strategy

  •          Stay abreast of industry trends, beer trends, events etc
  •          Suggest beer styles and brews to help elevate brand
  •          Support overall marketing strategy to increase brewery awareness, hype, and taproom sales
  •          Help find new tactics to make Birds stand out against the competition

Community

  •          Grow and Maintain community relationships
  •          Establish strong working relationships with local businesses
  •          Build engaging community events
  •          Manage community emails
