Kvass Style Beer with Blackberry

This series is inspired by the 50 centuries old beverage called kvass, or “leaven” in Russian. This traditional drink was made with what was readily available locally – think breads or grains, fruits and herbs, and the addition of a simple yeast. Our version is brewed with over 400 loaves of stecca bread from our neighbors at Swamp Rabbit Cafe.

Kvass de Stecca.1 is light-bodied and crisp for the summer heat, this brew has an assertive tart note that is complemented by the pleasant juiciness of the blackberries.
